Yesterday, the children went on their first trip of the year to Quarry Bank Mill. 
The children explored what life was like during Queen Victoria's reign and how industry progressed throughout this time. They also learnt what life was like for children in the Victorian period and made comparisons to what life is like for them, as children today. 
The children were fascinated to learn how the machines were powered by water and that the River Bollin ran all the way from Quarry Bank Mill to Bollington.
